The interactive presentation will feature dozens of real-life examples highlighting some of the best, and some of the worst, retail designs. Learn about the trendiest creative visuals being used in retail and home in on the why behind those time-tested practices from window displays, storefront entrances, point of sale displays and much more. Attendees will be equipped with the know how to design for impact that maximizes purchases and creates band appeal with customers new and old.

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Sarah is a 20-year community engagement and revitalization veteran, two-time past president of the Texas Downtown Association, and current chair of the Smithville Historic Design Standards Commission.. She has worked in various engagement, development, public information, and leadership roles in the Texas towns of Cleburne, Nacogdoches, Marshall, and Bastrop. She has also served over a dozen urban and commercial district planning efforts and led strategic planning from every perspective possible.  As a local government catalyst, community engagement expert, and Texas downtown influencer Sarah’s powerful approach, understanding of the human mindset, contagious energy, and endless passion for place, has transformed neighborhoods, commercial corridors, community organizations and government entities across the State of Texas. As a keynote speaker, imaginative facilitator, and well-respected industry expert. Sarah presents, engages, and facilitates at the state, national, and international level. Her message has been called “profound” ‘and “uplifting,” while her presence, virtually and live, is often labeled “captivating,” or “powerful.” Sarah graduated received her B.S. in Hospitality Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University, Axe ‘Em Jacks. Her collegiate alma mater awarded her their Edna Wilkin Tea Garden Outstanding Leadership Award in 2013 for her passion and dedication to her field.
