The Recess on the River cook-off and fundraiser will be held Sept. 18 & 19 at Riverbend Park, 107 Hwy. 71 E. Barbecue early bird entry fee is $125 until September 10 and then entry fee will be $150. Categories include brisket, pork, spare ribs and chicken. There will also be cook’s choice, jackpot beans, Jalapeno grill-off and Margarita mix-off for an entry fee of $10 each.
