DESCRIPTION:The Bastrop YMCA\, in collaboration with the Friends of the Lost Pines State Parks\, will host the third annual Burning Pine 5K/10K and Junior Ranger Run on Saturday\, Sept. 6. Race participants will run through Bastrop State Park\, beginning at 7:30 a.m.\, and the Junior Ranger Run (family 1K run/walk) will start at 9:30 a.m. The event will commemorate the anniversary of the 2011 wildfires that devastated the beautiful Lost Pines andall funds raised will help support the restoration of Bastrop State Park as well as support the financial assistance campaign at the Bastrop YMCA.
